It is so lovely to see the children back in school and things looking more 'normal'.
Please make sure that your child has an indoor and outdoor PE kit in school at all times. Also, for health and safety reasons, children are not allowed to wear earrings or any other jewellery for PE . If your child is unable to remove their earrings themselves could you please send them to school without them on PE days. PE days have changed for after half term and are as follows:
Mrs Johnson's class Tuesday outdoor and Thursday indoor,
Miss Bonich/Miss Flemming Monday outdoor and Friday indoor.
Homework will be given out on Thursdays and will need to be returned by the following Tuesday. The children have an orange exercise book that they can either write in or stick worksheets in. Please try to spend about 20 minutes on each subject and encourage to present their work as neatly as they can. If you have any problems with homework please let us know.
We provide the children with a fruit or vegetable snack for playtime. Unfortunately we have no control over what is delivered so if your child only likes a particular fruit or vegetable they can bring in a snack from home. Please only send in fruit or vegetables.
The following catch-up sessions will cease after 10th March and children in these groups will no longer need to attend:
Tuesday writing with Mrs Rayner
Thursday reading with Mrs Rayner
Friday Maths with Mrs Rayner
Wednesday reading with Mrs Johnson and Thursday Maths with Miss Fleming will continue until further notice.
There will be new writing sessions for invited children on the following days:
Tuesday before school with Mrs Rayner
Thursday after school with Mrs Rayner
Friday after school with Mrs Rayner
These children have already been given letters with the details.
There will be no set homework for half term. Please keep reading as much as possible and talking about what you have read with your child. Also keep practising multiplication tables x2, x5 and x10. The children can login to Times Tables Rockstars (logins are the same as Purple Mash) to help practise.
In PSHCE the children will be looking at how they have changed since they were a baby. If possible could you please send the children in with a photo of them as a baby.
Thank you all for your help and support, have a lovely half term.
