Primary Engineer Finals

On 19^th June two teams, one from year 2 and one from year 4, went to the Museum of Power. They talked to an engineer about their cars, the design and testing process and how they made them.

They competed against other schools, the year 2 team had to run their car down a ramp and it had to travel in a straight line. The year 4 team had to dive their battery operated car forwards and backwards along a straight line then up a ramp.

Both teams did very well. Unfortunately the year 2 team were not quite placed but the year 4 team won their category.

The children were extremely well behaved and had a lovely time. The event was well organised and the children had the opportunity to see some of the machinery working. It certainly was a super venue for this event.
