Four Great Berry teams competed in this year’s tournament on Saturday 14th May. Two Year 5 teams played well in their groups, both getting through to the semi- finals, where unfortunately they had play one another. The Yellow Team won, meaning they met Lee Chapel Red in The Final. It was a very close game, where Great Berry were narrowly beaten 3 – 1.
The two Year 6 Teams also played well in their groups, both getting through to the Quarter Finals. The Blue Team were beaten by Lee Chapel but The Red team won both their Quarter and Semi Final matches, getting through to meet Lee Chapel in The Final. It was an extremely tense and fiercely fought battle between the rival teams with Lee Chapel winning 3 – 1. Mr Pye was watching and commented ‘Wow! Netball is not for the faint hearted!’
Well done to all the players. Your competitiveness and skill on court was praised by many of the opposing schools. Every one of you should be proud of your performance.
