If you have not already done so please return PE kits so that they are in school when the children need them. During P.E. and other physical activities, the school follows the guidance for Health and Safety from Essex County Council. Guidance is also followed from the British Association of Advisors and Lecturers in Physical Education (BAALPE). All earrings must be removed for PE lessons. Children are no longer allowed to cover their earrings with tape. If children are not able to remove their own earrings they should not be worn to school on PE days, staff are not permitted to remove children’s earrings. The children are permitted to join in with PE if they are wearing the rubber/plastic earring retainers instead of studs.

Homework will be given out on Thursdays. Please return completed homework by the following Tuesday. If your child has any problems completing their homework please let us know.

Sometimes this will be a written task that the children can complete in their homework books and hand in on a Tuesday. Other times we may set homework on Purple Mash, details of which will also be in the Homework Star.
Children will need to log in with their Purple Mash logins and it will appear as a ‘To Do’.
Weekly spellings will also be available in the homework star.

As you are aware financial pressures on school are ever increasing and this makes it challenging for us to source some of the resources we would like to provide the children with. Can we remind you that the children will need an inexpensive plastic bucket for next week's Great Fire of London workshop. We will be working outside for part of this so please send your child in with a coat.
