Welcome back from the Summer break!
We have got straight into our routine and Maths and English groups are up and running. We have a busy term ahead learning all about World War Two and the Blitz. We will be visiting the Imperial War Museum in London as part of this work.
Our art lessons will include learning about the use of colour and we will focus on some of Van Gogh's landscapes to help create 3D landscapes later in the term.
In computing, we will be researching and creating an idea for a new app for a Smartphone or Tablet device. We will then be pitching our idea to the rest of the class.
PE will take place on a Thursday (indoor) and Friday (outdoor). Please ensure you have your PE kit at school including a tracksuit for when the weather gets colder- we will still aim to go outside.
Please ensure you sign your child's reading record daily. They will gain reading points at school to earn certificates. Homework will be set by your child's group teacher. Unless the homework states otherwise it will be given out on a Thursday and due in the following Tuesday. Spellings will also be tested on a Tuesday.
So, a busy first term ahead!
